Associate/Youth Pastor,- Kyle J. Kuhn.
Pastor Kyle has been a part of the Springville First UMC family since July of 2009. Kyle grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana and graduated from Milligan College in Johnson City, Tennessee in May of 2008 with a B.A. In Biblical Studies and an emphasis in Pastoral Ministry.
Kyle's passion for youth stems from a belief that students are not only the future, but a real part of the present. The young have the ability to make a giant impact on the world around them. This is why he desires to disciple students into a loving and strong relationship with Christ that will grow and transform them for their entire lives. Kyle has run and served at a total of 16 weeks of camp teaching students in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Virginia, and Georgia.
Kyle has also been involved in mission trips to Honduras, Romania, Nashville, Tennessee; The appalachian mountains, Cincinnati, Ohio; and inner-city Indianapolis. These experiences have broken his heart for the poor and the needy, and formed a belief that clothing and feeding a brother or sister in Christ is essential to the walk of any Church-goer who is called a "believer"
Kyle has participated in many creative arts groups including Milligan College's Theater for Young Audiences. Kyle was also involved as the President of Milligan College concert choir and sang in the elite accapella group "Heritage".Kyle served as a part of LINC from 2002-2004 and his team was awarded for its work in the community, namely the efforts it put forward on Martin Luther King Jr. day, where nearly 400 students were organized and sent to serve in the local community at churches, parks, recreation centers, and local businesses.
Kyle lives his life by Philippians 1:21, "To live is Christ, and to die is gain." Nothing else on earth matters but a relationship with Christ and his people, so live without fear and take the risk of following God through every time of blessing and trial, because where Christ is so also is joy! You can e-mail Kyle with any questions or concerns.
