One of the very compelling things that we see in John’s gospel is how Jesus saw people and knew where they were coming from deep down. This was unnerving for those who pretended to be religious, but had other motivations in their hearts. For us it can be both comforting and unsettling to really come to grips with the ways that Jesus knows us even better than we know ourselves. John 4:7-26 will help guide our hearts in worship today as we consider When God Sees Through You.
