While Jesus invites every human being to be in a personal relationship with him, Christian scripture does not tell us about Christians who are meant to follow Jesus alone. To take action on belief in Jesus Christ is to be part of his church. The act of Baptism that Jesus institutes for his Church brings both of these things together. In Baptism we see the importance of belief in Jesus Christ for salvation, and promises that are made by and to the one being baptized and the Church. Acts 2:29-41 will help lead our hearts to worship today.
