The witness of scripture is consistent with our experience of this life. God is good, and there is provision and abundant blessings in following Jesus in this life. Yet we know that doesn’t make for a life without struggles or pain. In fact the road of faithfulness will often bring us challenges that we otherwise wouldn’t know. Faith tells us that even in difficulty that Christ is directing us to something beyond what we can see or even fully understand in this life. Hebrews 11:1-3, 8-16, will help guide our hearts in worship as we see how a heart filled with Jesus is Longing for a Better Homeland.
