Death is a topic that we would like to not deal with. Yet, not only is it a reality that every person experiences, but it is at the core of the Christian faith. The death of Jesus on the cross is a universe transforming event. Jesus stated that at the heart of discipleship is death to self. This week we start The Journey of Easter, and today we consider what Good Friday has to do with this journey and our day to day faith.
