Psalm 24 tells us that the “earth is the Lord’s and everyone in it.” James fills us in on the truth that every good and perfect gift comes from the Lord. We are surrounded by God’s goodness and his provision for our lives with every step we take, every breath we thoughtlessly inhale. God is taking care of us all the time. How should our hearts respond to such care? We are called to have hearts that give because we should be shaped and formed by all that Jesus gives us. Our primary response to generosity should be to generously lift up our praise and thanks! Romans 12:1-13 will help guide our hearts today as we consider how we give to God in worship.
