Jacob was pretty set that things were all about him. God shows that he can use the life of a selfish person for purposes that are so much bigger than what one person wanted. Jacob has to wrestle with God before he is humbled. Afterward, he goes forward with a limb and God is able to do something through his life that benefits everyone. Genesis 32:22-32 will help us consider this turning point in Jacob’s life and what God has to say to us through it.
