It seems like the world has gotten meaner in recent years. Maybe it’s always been this rough, but the celebration of the “enemies” defeat and a general support for meanness if the mean person supports our perspective sure does seem to be on rise. Various scriptures point out God’s character as something that not only do we benefit from, but as something we should grow to emulate. This is what the Fruit of the Sprit is about, it’s what other lists in the New Testament remind us of. God is compassionate, kind, humble. We are blessed by this, but it is also supposed to change us as we experience these aspects of God. Today we seek to grow the fruit of kindness as we look to the Fruit of the Spirit, Micah 6:8 will help guide our hearts in worship.
