John’s gospel tells us how Jesus is the Word, how he is eternal, and was present at creation. We are told that there is nothing in all of creation that exists outside of the creative work of Jesus. When we pair that with the realities of Jesus being ever present, this means that Jesus is both everywhere and has had a hand in bringing everything that is into existence. This truth means there is nowhere we are unable to encounter Jesus, and no thing (including people) that isn’t reliant on Jesus to be. Our new series Jesus is the Song is a way to help us to train our hearts to look for Jesus everywhere. John 1:1-4 will be our guide as we worship together.
