I have always appreciated listening to an album that has been thoughtfully laid out. You can tell when songs build into each other on purpose, and the band or producer is inviting you to a particular journey. It is especially impressive when there are common themes in the songs that tie an album together, and each song works as a stand alone, but is enhanced by the other songs around it. If God’s work among human relationships were a musical album, the theme would be forgiveness and the climax of the album would be called Forgive. Matthew 18:21-35 will help guide us in worship as we explore why forgiveness is at the heart of what Jesus desires for us as individuals, families, and communities.
