Creeds are concise statements that bring together God’s truth as understood by the Christian community to strengthen, encourage, and unify Christ’s church. In today’s passage we find one of the earliest creeds of the Christian Church, one that holds Jesus high. Let us be encouraged as we gather in Jesus and let Colossians 1:15-23 lead us to unity and love.
