As much as God will use our gifts to impact the world around us and help us find purpose, Jesus is not trying to work us until we drop. Jesus made space to regularly get away from the crowds and the ministry demands they placed on him as we see in our scripture today, Luke 5:12-16. We need to make space to balance our duties with both a walk with God but also activities that bring us joy and peace, replacing burnout with balance.
