Peter had promised Jesus that he would follow him unto death. When the heat gets turned up, Peter denies him three times. Unfortunately our mistakes get a deep hold on us and end up defining us for seasons of our life. Jesus’ interaction with Peter shows us that God can use our mistakes to refine us into something new. As we continue this Lent with our Pursuing God series, John 18:15-18, 25-27 will help us focus our hearts in worship.
